First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers,
intercessions and thanksgivings, be made for everyone,
for kings and all who are in authority,
in order that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life
in all godliness and dignity."
Following is
a prayer I wrote for Cape Breton
in February 1999, update in 2004.
I invite you to join me daily
as I pray:
"May all people who seek to
promote
healthy economic development
for Cape Breton Island
experience the blessings of
wisdom, understanding and courage.
May they help us face
our present challenges
by sharing their potential and ideas
for the betterment of our island as a whole.
Together may we develope a clear
and sound vision of the personal
and community growth needed
to lead us vistoriously through
the year 2004 and beyond."
