Sunrise in Marble Mountain

A radiant sunrise dances
through the darkness at dawn,
waltzing over the waters
its glorious rays shine on
calling me caressingly
to greet this grand day,
walk forward to witness
this beauty and give praise.
In the stillness of this morning
the islands seem at rest,
like babes in the womb
when cradled at best.
Row boats and motor boats
are nestled near the shore
and not a tree is stirring
near the waters of Bras d'Or.

Marble Mountain Majesty
awakens in my soul
the urgency to share with you
the blessings I behold.
