No Life Is Left Untouched
No life is left untouched
by a visit from death
but peace grows
when we know we've done our best
to show love and compassion
before this visit comes,
before the soul drifts away
like a setting sun.
There is a time for everything
and though we do not know
exactly when our lives will end
we are sure to go...
Death's visit may come suddenly
or after illness takes its toll
so let us pray for peace
for all departing souls.
May peace reign in every soul
drawn home into the light,
may angels guide you on your way
towards a heavenly flight.
May God greet you lovingly
and say, "Please enter in,
your work is done, the battle won
come rest in peace my friend.
